The private open-air bath was a memorable experience.
Unfortunately, the location was quite remote, making it difficult to access public transport without relying on the shuttle service or rideshare options. The timing and arrangements for the shuttle were unclear, as I had to coordinate with staff to set up departures, unlike what I anticipated based on the website. Also, I was disappointed that there were no additional public onsen options to explore, as I was expecting a more authentic ryokan experience.

The Japanese-Style Family Room with Open-Air Bath felt spacious and welcoming with tatami floors. The private bath offered stunning views of the mountains, creating a serene atmosphere. Enjoyed the massage chair after a long day exploring. The dinner was a highlight, featuring beautifully presented kaiseki dishes that delighted my palate. Breakfast options included both Japanese and Western foods, providing a delightful start to the day. However, locating the shuttle bus stop was quite challenging, which caused frustration upon arriving. Also, the food at the buffet breakfast lacked variety after a few days, missing some excitement. These issues detracted from an otherwise splendid experience.

The kaiseki dinner was truly a culinary experience, but
I found the dinner served in the restaurant rather than our room a bit disappointing. However, the quality of each dish was exceptional, and the presentation was beautiful. The surrounding scenery was peaceful, making it ideal for relaxation, although the public areas felt a tad older.

Both lovable and frustrating
The staff excelled in kindness, enhancing our experience with their warmth and support. The exquisite kaiseki dinner and vibrant buffet breakfast were both highlights that delighted our taste buds.
The hot spring facilities felt a bit crowded during peak times, which detracted from the relaxing ambiance.

The stay was a fantastic way to unwind and immerse myself in nature. I particularly enjoyed the private open-air bath with stunning views of the mountains, the sounds from the nearby river added a nice touch. The beautiful location right next to a little river with waterfalls made for a picturesque experience. Although it was a bit of a trek to get to public transportation, the serene environment made it worthwhile. Plus, the breakfast spread was delightful and had a great variety of traditional Japanese dishes to kickstart the day.
